Tokyo Mokkoujou Exhibition Area

A Factory That Carries Wood Forward An exhibition space that reinterprets the value of reclaimed timber through craftsmanship and communicates the cycle of reuse as an experience.

Timber recovered from demolished buildings is carefully sorted, reprocessed, and transformed into flooring and exhibition surfaces. Scratches and discoloration are embraced as unique characteristics, giving the materials new value.

Through the craftsmen’s hands-on work, visitors experience how timber is given a new life as part of the space. The exhibition also serves as a place to pass down traditional joinery and woodworking techniques to future generations, conveying the spirit of craftsmanship and the future of wood.
