ISETAN SHINJUKU STORE MAIN BUILDING 7F GARDEN

伊勢丹新宿店本館7F日本庭園

A Japanese Garden with Multiple Viewpoints This is a full renovation project of an existing garden on the 7th floor, the lower portion of the rooftop I-Garden of Isetan Shinjuku’s main building.
Towards the existing Japanese restaurant, Italian restaurant , and common space surrounding the garden, it serves as an oasis that reflects the changes in nature. With changing water as an element to express the nature of the garden, the garden includes a water basin reflecting the sky, a fine stream flowing from a deep mountain, a water bowl with water pouring from a conduit, and fog that appears at a certain period of time, resembling karesansui (zen garden). In terms of plant species, an effort was made to revive different types of natural environments by transplanting aged and sublime trees such as pine trees and Japanese apricots, and more than 120 species of epiphyte-orchids on stone masonry for the visitors to enjoy the ever-changing seasonal scenery.
We hope that the visitors will experience a sense of refreshment when they sit down towards the garden.
