Tree Climbing
Head office of Media Nusantara Citra, the largest media company in Indonesia.
In response to the architectural concept of “Tree,” the experience of the interior space is designed as “Tree Climbing.” The entrance under the canopy that resembles an image of sunlight filtering through the foliage, is an impression of a “large tree trunk,” while the colonnade is the bark composed with a mirror that reflects the shiny external scenery from the strong sunlight in Jakarta.
The elevator hall that is connected to the entrance is a “hollow tree,” and by increasing the density of the trees, it projects an image of a solid tree, while accentuating the continuity of space.

インドネシアのメディア最大手企業Media Nusantara Citraの本社オフィス。建築コンセプト「Tree」を受け、インテリア空間での体験を「Tree Climbing」とし、
木漏れ日をイメージした庇の下のエントランスを「大きな木の幹」と見立て、樹皮としての列柱と、ジャカルタの強い日差しで輝く外部の風景を映し出すミラーで構成した。
エントランスとつながるELVホールは「樹洞」とし、木の密度を高めることでソリッドな樹木をイメージし、空間の連続性を高めた。
